Apex Leadership Co. teams up with our PTO, teachers, and administration to build leadership skills in Monte Vista students while raising money for our school in a hassle-free approach for parents and our community! Through our partnership, we combine fitness, fundraising and leadership into a powerful united event that builds funds for our school and character education in our students, This is our most impactful fundraiser of the year! In fact, in the 21/22 school year, Monte Vista successfully raised more than $75,000 through this program funding things like teacher grants, a water fountain upgrade, and so much more! Apex offers multiple programs to select from including a fun run, obstacle course, or remix (fitness party).
Co-Chairs for this committee will coordinate with the Apex Team Lead and school administration to schedule events (teacher, huddle, student pep rally, class lessons/grade-level participation, etc.) as well as oversee the marketing and communications of the event. They will be identified as the main point of contact between Apex and Monte Vista.
On the day of the fitness event, volunteers assist with water and/or snack stations, support students by marking laps or cheering them on, take photos for our yearbook, help to cool off our student athletes with misters, and so much more!
