Happy Wednesday Mountain Lions!
There's a NEW COMMITTEE just released on Konstella and WE NEED YOU!
Our teachers and administrators use a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) system at Monte Vista as a way to encourage and reward good behavior. Students who demonstrate adherence to the 3B's receive Honey Drops which they can collect and turn in for Bees in the front office. Once a month, the Bee Hive is set up, a kind of "store" where students can "purchase" reward prizes using their Bees. Up until now, a single volunteer has been running this for our administrators and is unable to help this year.
HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN!
The Bee Hive is open the last Friday (or Thursday, if that Friday a no-school day) of every month, during school hours. We need parents willing to rotate through duties to help keep the Bee Hive going. Set up happens just after the morning bell, teachers bring eligible students through all day long, and then the Bee Hive is broken down at 2:30. If you would like to help, PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY! There will be a training either Monday or Tuesday and the first Bee Hive happens 9/28! Sign Ups will be posted on the Committee Page each month, with 2-hour slots available.
This is a great opportunity to interact with students, teachers and administrators in a positive way! We hope you'll consider helping out!
