APEX FUN RUN

Since the Apex Team handles most of the heavy lifting, this is an easy one!  The chair will coordinate with the Apex Team Lead on schedule (Teacher Huddle, Student Pep Rally, class lesson times/grade-level run times as determined by our principal) and advertising (flyers, posters, e-communications, Facebook Posts, etc).  

 

Volunteers for the event will run the water station, mark laps, and support runners with spirit signs, pom poms, noise makers, and cheers!  In the case that the weather is unseasonably warm, volunteers will also use mister bottles to cool down our runners.

 

Race day activities happen between 8 & 11am.

Duties vary and can be at-home or on-campus as suited. There is a huge Facebook campaign involved with this event so committee members can author posts and take photos/video in classrooms of Apex activities (releases required). Those interested in encouraging school spirit can make posters and hand out noisemakers and pompoms at the event. Those interested in helping to advertise the event can make banners for the school gates and organize Student Council or NEHS students to wave signs at parent pick up/drop-off locations/times.
