The La Paz Leopard Run is a time-honored tradition that, with the help of parent volunteers like you, runs smoothly.

It marks the end of summer & the beginning of an exciting new school year.

 

If you haven't experienced Leopard Run before, here is what you can expect.  It is encouraged that parents accompany their student(s).

Students will:

  • get their yearbook picture taken...so bring a comb
  • confirm their class listings...but schedules won't be posted until the 1st day of school
  • Student's will receive a set of take home text books
  • ASB student planners can be purchased
  • PE clothes can be purchased
  • Parents can join the STPO (Student Teacher Parent Organization) to support La Paz

 Please note there are 2 Shifts available to work:

MORNING                   7:15 am - 12:00 pm

AFTERNOON          12:45 pm -  4:00 pm

 A couple of things to remember, as a Leopard Run volunteer:

  • You get to GO TO THE HEAD OF THE LINE to register your student!
  • Volunteers positions for students that are not in ASB are available in Station 13 only.
  • Students are welcome to help their parents at their Parent's designated station.  However, we kindly ask that they stay at the station with you & are not allowed to roam alone or with other students, during Leopard Run. This caused some issues in previous years that we want to avoid.

The La Paz Front Office also needs Parent volunteers to assist with

This station is designated for (2) ASB leaders who have already volunteered through Mrs. Baird. They will verify the purchase of planner on receipts and hand out student planner. A parent volunteer is needed to oversee the station and ensure the traffic does not get backed up.

We need (1) volunteer to answer questions and (4) volunteers to verify the purchase of gym clothes and then write student’s last names on the gym clothes. If you pride yourself on your penmanship, this would be an ideal station for you. This stations will also have (2) ASB Students, coordinated through the ASB Director, to verify clothing sizes.

(1) Adults to verify ID and answer questions. (6) NON-ASB students will work in the library to hand out the textbooks. Parent, if your student wants to start earning service hours, this is the perfect position for them. Please sign up with you name and put your student's name in the notes.
