La Dolce Vita (LDV) is the annual fundraising gala event for the school. It is an amazing example of how our La Scuola families and the broader San Francisco community can come together to ensure the successful outcomes for all our students and families. But it CANNOT happen without you, our wonderful parent volunteers. Please sign-up to the following roles, and encourage your friends to do the same. Volunteering for this event is a great way to come together, bring your friends and make new friends. FUN guaranteed!! LDV takes place on Saturday March 25th, book your sitter and dust off your sequins!!!

Corporate Sponsorship + Donations Signed Up: 1 / 4

Reaching out to local organizations via different channels including email, online forms, etc. Can be done after hours, long deadlines if we can start start soon. And/or working with parent community on their donations, mainly via email.

Teacher Experiences Signed Up: 2 / 4

Continuing to develop the Teacher Experiences that have been so successful the past couple of years. Working with our fabulous teachers to create experiences for auction, including idea generation, descriptions, logistics. Follow-up post auction to make sure that they happen. Majority of work can be done after hours.

Class Projects- Middle School Signed Up: 1 / 1

Working with teachers and students to create memorable and desirable class project auction items / experiences. Last year these were student-led activities offered to the lower school eg Pizza / Movie Night. Activities include working with the Lead Teacher and Students to agree the activities and to work with them on logistics, descriptions etc. Some work required after the event to ensure that the activity takes place. Assume 2-3 activities. Majority of work can happen after hours.

School Family Auction Donations Support Signed Up: 2 / 4

Working with the Auction Chair to build awareness amongst the school community to donate items, experiences, gift cards etc. Activities will include reaching out to donors from previous years, helping build awareness amongst new families, taking on specific categories eg Count-Me-Ins, and being an ambassador to the community to explain how and what to donate. Majority of work can be done after hours, and will be sending out emails.

Pre-K School Art Project Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 2

Work with the pre-k Atelierista to create memorable, simple art items from each class to be items for auction. Past examples include silk scarves, framed flower presses and coasters. Your role is a coordinating one - ensuring that the projects are happening, working on logistics, descriptions and photos for the catalog. In the past volunteers have also thought about fun ways to share the art works ahead of the auction to encourage families to bid.

Data Entry (Auction Catalog) Signed Up: 4 / 4

Working with the Corporate Sponsorship and Donations team to get all the fantastic items into the online catalog, long lead times, can be done after hours. Roadmap for best practice is available to share. The main need is last 2 weeks of Feb through to day of event itself. Proof reading prowess and editorial skills a plus!

Volunteer Coordinator Signed Up: 1 / 1

Helping to identify, coordinate and mobilize volunteers needed on the 3 to 4 days before and day of event. Building on roles and best practices established over time. Recruit your friends, friends of friends, this is also a good way to meet other people in the school community. Volunteer does need to be available to be at the SF-based venue on March 25. Majority of work is email reach outs, follows up and logistics and can be done after hours.

Graphic Designer to work on Gala Marketing and Event Materials Signed Up: 1 / 1

Graphic designer to create layouts and artworks for Gala materials - working closely with the School marketing teams. Majority of work will be building on existing designs and can be done after hours. Minimal weekly requirement February for marketing items, some additional support required week leading up to the event to create items for display at the event eg pull up banners, tent cards.

General Support Signed Up: 10 / 10

2-4 hours total. This can range from a donations push in a specific field, ie sports, through to organizing signage, or driving things from a to b. If you have any time to give we will gladly put you to use.
