Please join us for La Scuola's Beach Clean Up and Pizza Party at Baker Beach!

DATE: November 4th, 10 am-12 pm

Meet us at 10 am at Baker Beach. We will have a table set up near the middle of the beach to drop things off. We'll hand out cleaning supplies, clean the beach 10:15-11:30ish and then pizza party right after!  

Please wear La Scuola t-shirts, hats, and hoodies if you have them, so we can all recognize members of our school. Bring plenty of extra layers as it can be chilly at the beach!  

The pizza party will follow the clean up at noon.  Please RSVP below by October 27th so we can ensure we have pizza for all. Please bring a reusable water bottle to show your love for our planet! 

Please sign up below to bring the following items:

• Trash grabbers or tongs to pick up garbage (kitchen tongs are better for this than plastic kids tongs as those don't function well with all the sand!)
• Buckets (small beach buckets work great!)
• Compost bags for collecting garbage 
• Tables for pizza and fruit
• Fruit to share with a compostable peel (no trays or garbage, please)
• Napkins 
• Beach toys, soccer, frisbees, chairs, etc. 

Remember to bike or carpool to the clean up! 

 Important Reminder 

This beach cleanup is a community service activity organized by PALS; it is not a field trip. We kindly ask all adults participating to ensure full supervision of children they bring to the event. Baker Beach can be dangerous, with sneaker waves and rip currents. There are no lifeguards on duty. During the beach cleanup activity, we ask all adult participants to remain at or above the high tide line to minimize risk and to ensure that children under their supervision do the same.

Parking

There are two lots for parking and street parking. Nice weekends can get busy so give yourself time to park!
