November DEI Event: Transgender Awareness Week
Transgender Awareness Week occurs each year between November 13 – 19th, as a way to celebrate resilience and raise visibility for the issues that impact transgender and gender-expansive people.
The week provides a catalyst for change and empowers trans people and allies to educate the public, share stories, and advocate around the issues of prejudice, discrimination, systemic and interpersonal violence that all too often affects the transgender community.
Looking for ways to join the movement for gender liberation, check out these resources and join us on November 9th from 5:00-6:30 pm as we celebrate Transgender Awareness.
