Today was our first rainy/windy day of the school year. I was amazed at our volunteers today and those parents who just jumped into action with support to keep the line of cars moving safely. Our community is something special and we (Liana and I) are truly grateful for your support when we fall short with enough help. Oh I can’t forget to mention our amazing crossing guard, queen, Amy- I’m amazed on how sharp she remains in heavy traffic. Amy is a rockstar!
One things I was not thrilled to see (as I was in line dropping my girls off) were the amount of cars letting there kids hop out mid line during drop off and making u-turned to get out of the line. Not only is this very unsafe, but it also causes more traffic and chaos when trying to get out of the line.
Please practice patience if you choose to use the SDG service or simply leave a few minutes earlier to allot time so you don’t worry about tardiness
Our number one priority is safety and we all need to do our part to ensure this.
Respectfully,
Cristina Manzanares and Liana Diep-Lee
