We’re about 12 hours away from the 2026 FIELD DAY!! 🎉☀️🐬

☔ ONE NEW WRINKLE — RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST ☔

It looks like we’ll most likely get some light rain in the morning. The weather sites vary, but it appears we may have some drizzle around drop-off time. At the moment, we are NOT expecting the rain to continue much past 8:00 AM, but we’ll send updates if that changes.

Dress accordingly! The ground may be a little more damp than normal, so layers, good shoes, and umbrellas are recommended.

🗑️ Trash Reminder
Please continue helping us keep Hellman Hollow clean by using the Lafayette trash bins throughout the event instead of the park cans. We’ll be packing out all trash at the end of the day, so every little bit helps!

We are setting up bins at each grade’s table area with extra trash bags. If a bag gets full, we will be collecting tied trash bags near the HQ table throughout the day. All trash will be removed from the northern/JFK side of Hellman Hollow at the end of the event.

🏥 HQ Table / Supplies
Our HQ table (look for the sign!) near the bathrooms will be stocked with LOTS of extra supplies throughout the day, including:

• extra sunscreen
• toilet paper
• garbage bags
• medical supplies
• air pumps
• paper towels
• tape
• scissors
• gloves
• and more!

If you need help or have questions during the event, HQ is the place to go.

🚗 Parking
There will be early parking available along JFK Drive and spillover parking on Traverse Drive just north of Hellman Hollow. As always with Golden Gate Park events, we recommend giving yourself a little extra time for parking and unloading.

💧 Water Bottles
Please remember to send your child with a labeled water bottle! There is a water bottle filling fountain at the park, and we'll be bringing some extra water available at the HQ table to go along with drinks provided at your class/grades potluck

🙏 Some Last-Minute Items That Would Still Be Helpful:

• old towels
• iPads for karaoke (phones work too, but iPads with data plans are even better!)
• pop-up soccer goals
• outdoor-friendly power strips that we KNOW everyone has lying around somewhere 😄
