☑️ LAST CHANCE: After-School Enrichment Signup ENDS TOMORROW

We have a fantastic selection of after-school enrichment activities this Fall! Registration ends tomorrow.

Register on Homeroom for all activities except for Mandarin (register on the Qiao Ji Mandarin website).

As always, you can find all of our aftercare and enrichment info here on the Lafayette Dolphins website.

How do I register? – Register online on Homeroom. You will need to set up an account if it’s your first time registering. The only class that is not on Homeroom is Mandarin. Go directly to the Qiao Ji Mandarin website to sign up.

When do classes start? – Most classes start the week of September 3rd, with a few starting the following week. They run until December 19th with one week off for Parent Teacher conferences.

How do I find out the details about the different programs? – Go to Homeroom.com for all the info. Days, times, and descriptions of each program can be found there.

Where do the classes take place? Almost all classes take place at Lafayette and your child’s teacher or after care provider (YMCA or RNC) will make sure they get to the correct place at the right time. Art and biking will take place off campus, and the providers will meet the students at Lafayette.

How does my child get to and from the class? The school will handle everything! For drop off, your child’s teacher will make sure they get to the correct location on time. For pick up, if your child is in an after-school program (YMCA or RNC), they will meet your child after the class. If your child is being picked up to go home right after class, the teacher of the enrichment program will let you know where to meet your child when class is over.

More Questions? Contact Kristen Coleman, After School Enrichment Coordinator, at kjkrieger@gmail.com

🎉 Spirit Fridays! Buy Spirit Wear, Meet the PTA, & More

The Spiritwear and Hospitality committees will be teaming up every Friday in September (6th, 13th, 20th and 27th) to bring you fresh coffee (free!) and various Lafayette branded items (for purchase via credit card or Apple Pay). Stop by to say hi, fuel up for the day and consider joining the PTA if you’re not already a member!

Note: Previous emails have mentioned Thursdays but the committees recently changed the dates to align with Splash awards.

⚾ Giants Tickets! $5 per Ticket Goes Back to Lafayette

Let's go out to the ball game... with this special deal for Lafayette!

Access Code: LAFES24

You can buy tickets for any available date. But it's a big stadium, so if you want to sit near other Dolphins, choose these dates and seating areas:

K-2nd Grade: Tuesday, September 3, Bleacher Section 136

3rd-5th Grade: Wednesday, September 4, Bleacher Section 142

Both games start at 6:45pm. Price is about $14 per ticket. Use access code LAFES24, and $5 per ticket will go back to Lafayette!

Accessibility needs? Click here.

Big thanks to Lafayette Social Worker Emily Newman for getting this set up for us!

🍩 Register NOW for the Donut Dash - September 29th!

The Donut Dash is just around the corner. This beloved community event is a 5K and 1 mile run in Golden Gate Park. It's also a fundraiser for our school. It will take place on Sunday, September 29th - the 5K starts at 8:30 am and the 1 mile starts at 9:15 am. All runners will be rewarded with a customized donut (or allergy-friendly alternative such as a Rice Krispie Treat).

To Register:
Online registration is open NOW and will close the evening of September 23rd. You can also access a paper form here. If you choose to use the paper registration forms, please return those to your teacher by September 20th, otherwise you can sign up online by visiting this website: https://runtheday.com/register/detail/donut-dash-2024.

To Fundraise:

This is also an optional fundraiser. To fundraise, you can create a fundraising page here: https://givebutter.com/donutdash2024. Click "Make Your Page" and follow the prompts. It's pretty easy, but if you get stuck, find instructions on how to set up your page here (scroll down to Fundraising). Or, you can collect funds manually using this form.

We will give an award to the top fundraiser and the top runners (so start training!). Tee shirts will be available to participants on a first come, first served basis and there are no size guarantees. As always, fundraising is optional but needed and appreciated.

📷 Lately at Lafayette

We've seen some confusion in the mornings during drop-off, so we wanted to share a visual to help explain. When we talk about not double parking and blocking the line on Anza and along 37th, this is what we mean:

Big thanks to everyone who volunteered for Stop, Drop and Go open rotation! Your work helps keep students safe and our neighbors happy!
