It has been so nice to see so many familiar faces back at school this past week. I hope your kids are adjusting well to being back at school and are excited about all of the things they're set to learn this year.

Here are some key events coming up in the next two weeks:

• August 29 - Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) Popsicle Party
• September 1 - Labor Day (No School)
                          Deadline to sign up for Afterschool Enrichment
• September 3 - Back to School Night (K-2nd Grade)
• September 4 - Back to School Night (3-5th Grade)
• September 5 - Spirit Friday

These dates are also listed in the Calendar on Konstella (Lafayette’s online community for parents) so make sure you set up your Konstella account.

Sign up on Homeroom (or, for Mandarin, directly with Qiao Ji Mandarin) for afterschool classes and programs. There are many great classes being offered this year, as well as sliding scale and discounted rates for most programs available to families who need them. (Details on discounts can be found here.) Sign ups close on September 1st!

Stop, Drop and Go is our morning vehicle drop off program that runs along Anza between 36th and 37th. It is organized through the PTA and only works if parents volunteer for shifts!

If you are able to, please consider donating standard-size soccer balls to the school. We currently have no soccer balls in the ball bins for kids to play with at recess.

Ain't no party like an AGC party cuz an AGC party has POPSICLES!

The Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) is kicking off their fundraiser awareness initiative by sponsoring a popsicle party for the students of Lafayette this Friday August 29th. The AGC is one of Lafayette's largest fundraising campaigns that helps fund many events at Lafayette. Your help truly makes the difference for Lafayette, and we are extremely grateful!  

Many heartfelt thanks to those of you who bought something off of our Amazon Wishlist. We are so close to restocking the PTA shed after last year's fire. Your generosity is appreciated! ❤️

Next to the Auditorium is the Music Room and outside the Music Room is the Lost & Found. If your child is missing an item (like a jacket or water bottle) stop by and take a look. There are already several items there!
