Hi everyone!

Some of you may know me as Courtney, some of you may know me as "Éamon's mom" and some of you are soon to know me as "Saoirse's mom". I am very excited that starting this year, both of my kids will be at Lafayette (3rd grade and Kindergarten respectively). For those that don't yet know me, I look forward to meeting you over the coming years!

If you haven’t already, be sure to join Konstella (Lafayette’s online community for parents) and consider joining the PTA. We're pretty great (unbiased opinion).

Stop, Drop and Go is our morning vehicle drop off program that runs along Anza between 36th and 37th. It is organized through the PTA and only works if parents volunteer for shifts!

Have any Lafayette Spirit Wear that you never wear, no longer need, or that no longer fits? Please donate them for new and incoming students! All donations must be in gently-used condition and can be dropped off at Stephanie’s house: 793 37th Ave. We have a new student orientation on campus Friday, August 15th. If you have any donations, please consider getting them to Stephanie before then.

An Amazon wishlist has been created to replace items lost in the PTA shed fire. If you would like to help, please consider purchasing items off of the Amazon wishlist.

Thank you SO much to all of our volunteers who helped with this parking fundraiser and many many thanks to Tory Francisco for organizing it!

Our next parking-related fundraiser will be at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass from October 3-5, so mark your calendars. (Details to come).

Lafayette’s New Family Committee hosted a playdate at Cabrillo playground on August 3rd. It was great to meet so many new families joining our community as well as reconnecting with familiar faces--many younger siblings are entering Kindergarten this year!

Speaking of the fire, Mr. K recently shared via email that the debris from the fires has been fully cleared from the yard and a new play structure is expected to be constructed by the end of August!
