We are fully in the swing of things with the first few weeks of school now behind us. Many thanks to the teachers and staff who made both Back to School nights such a success!

We have our first PTA meeting this week on Wednesday. I'm so excited to meet new parents and see familiar faces, as well as hear from our new PTA president, Meghan Butler. The countdown continues  — only 17 days to go until our multicultural Night Market on Wednesday, September 24, 6–8 PM (outdoors)!

Be the secret ingredient that makes this night delicious! This event comes to life when families share their food, culture, and creativity — and we need YOU to help bring the flavor and fun.

This will be a delectable evening of food, culture, and community, and our goal is to have 100% of classrooms represented, with families from each class providing a dish or leading an activity.

What: The Donut Dash is a 5k run / 1 mile walk in Golden Gate Park and a fundraiser for our school.

When: It will take place on Sunday, September 28th. The 5K starts at 8:30 am and the 1 mile starts at 9:15 am.

By now you should have received the PTA's Welcome Packet. This manila envelope contains important documents like a letter from the PTA President, a letter about the Annual Giving Campaign, and the schedule of all events for the school year. For the first time, these documents are also available online on our PTA website. This is great news for people like me who live amongst stacks and stacks of paper with no discernible organizational system. Find the online version of the PTA Welcome Packet here.
