Lafayette is Having a Clothing Drive!
|
Bring in your gently used winter clothing (coats, beanies, scarves, gloves, boots) every Friday in December! Students will be in the yard at drop off and pick up to receive your donations.
December 17-19, Lafayette families in need can come by the Wellness Center to take whatever they need. Anything left over will be donated to a San Francisco community-based program.

We are starting a module that includes Lego robotics and could use some extra hands on deck to support our young engineers in 4th and 5th grade build and program their bots.

1st Annual Pay What You Can: This year at Lafayette Gives, we will be selling unclaimed Lost & Found items, as well as leftover stuffies from the Autumn Carnival. This will be an opportunity to make a small donation (think $1-5) to the PTA in exchange for a gently used item that could make an excellent gift for a friend or other loved one. Help us reduce the purchase of new items by re-using some existing ones! We accept Venmo and cash.

Inclusive Schools Week Dec 8-12
|
Lafayette is excited to celebrate another Inclusive Schools Week! This week is a time to focus on what inclusion means and how we can be advocates for people with disabilities. There will be presentations from community members such as the BORP Adaptive Sports organization and a Special Olympic Athlete. There will also be multiple lessons in class focusing on disability awareness and advocacy, as well as schoolwide projects that can be seen on classroom bulletins and in hallways. This is a great time to talk to your child(ren) about what they are learning and how they can be inclusive everyday. You can learn more and browse the district wide event offerings here.
