📝 Sign up for Konstella 📝
Konstella is the ONE app you need for all PTA news, announcements, volunteer sign-ups, and more! Check out our PTA website to find more information as well as instructions on how to join and get started.
NOTE: Beginning this year, Mr. E (our fabulous new Principal) will send updates to families via THIS newsletter (as opposed to a separate weekly newsletter).
🧘 After School Care + Enrichment Programs 🎨
If you need to sign your child up for after school care through YMCA or RNC, you can do so by following the instructions on our PTA website here.
If you wish to sign up for after school enrichment classes such as yoga, Spanish, gymnastics and more, you can do so on Lafayette's Homeroom website.
Details on how to sign up for Lafayette's after school Mandarin program, provided by Qiao Ji Mandarin, can be found below.
🚦 Stop Drop and Go: Volunteers Needed 🚦
Our drop off program, Stop Drop and Go, begins on Tuesday and we need volunteers to sign up to help! If you're available before school in the mornings, please sign up on Konstella here.
Throughout the year, grown ups from each classroom are called upon to volunteer for SDG. To see when your child's class is responsible, check out this schedule.

🚗 First Fundraiser Update! 🚗
Very excited to share that thanks to the Outside Lands Festival parking fundraiser last weekend, we have already raised just under $12,000!
Special thanks most especially to:
• Raf Cuevas and Tory Francisco for organizing the event
• All of the volunteers who made this event possible
• Mr. E for reaching out to his former school for getting us some middle school volunteers!
Speaking of Mr. E...
Welcome Back, Lafayette!
Our amazing new Assistant Principal, Ms. Yin, and I are extremely excited to kick off a new school year alongside Lafayette’s students, families, and staff! We’ll see everyone bright and early on Monday, August 17. As a reminder, the yard and breakfast open at 7:30 a.m., and school begins at 7:50 a.m. sharp.
If you plan to join your student on the yard, please allow plenty of time for parking. Remember to avoid white bus zones, neighbors’ driveways, and double parking. Families driving to school are encouraged to use our “Stop, Drop, and Go” on Anza Street, which begins on Tuesday. We ask that all families say goodbye to their students before entering the building. Our wonderful staff will handle any anxious kiddos once they’re inside. Families are invited to join our Admin team and other community members for some coffee on the yard at 7:50am.
If you haven’t already, check ParentVUE for your student’s class assignment. When the bell rings Monday morning, teachers will be on the yard holding signs, and plenty of adults will be available to help students find their class.
For more details, revisit our Welcome Back Letter. And be sure to check the PTA Newsletter each week for updates from your admin team.
We can’t wait to see you on Monday!
Highlights & Bright Spots
A huge shoutout to our incredible Lafayette teachers and staff! Even before the first bell has rung, our team has been working tirelessly to make sure we’re ready to welcome students back. Staff have volunteered their time to prepare beautiful and welcoming classroom spaces, support new colleagues as they get acquainted with Lafayette (myself included!), and engage in thoughtful, collaborative professional development.
The care, teamwork, and dedication happening behind the scenes have been inspiring to witness. We are incredibly grateful for all our staff are doing to make the start of this school year a great one!
