Help Lafayette's school librarian, Ms. Jer, provide flexible seating to our students to help foster a more positive library community! Donations made on December 2nd will be MATCHED for "Giving Tuesday"!
|
You can drop the items off at the lounge on the 2nd floor or ship them directly to the school. Your donations let us put more of our energy (and budget!) toward big treats, like a catered taco-truck lunch for teachers and staff. Thanks in advance. We appreciate you!

Lafayette is Having a Clothing Drive!
|
Bring in your gently used winter clothing (coats, beanies, scarves, gloves, boots) every Friday in December! Students will be in the yard at drop off and pick up to receive your donations. December 17-19, Lafayette families in need can come by the Wellness Center to take whatever they need. Anything left over will be donated to a San Francisco community-based program.
|
We are starting a module that includes Lego robotics and could use some extra hands on deck to support our young engineers in 4th and 5th grade build and program their bots.
|
Help Ms. Baba get the Auditorium decorated for our Student Council Inauguration on Monday December 1st. Supervisor Connie Chan will be there to help us celebrate these students' commitment to responsibility and service in our school.

This year's Lafayette Book Fair was a huge success! While we're waiting on the final official tally, it looks like we've raised over $6,000 in Scholastic funds for our teachers and library! A big thank your to all of our volunteers, teachers, and parents for making it happen, and to our Book Fair co-chairs, Justin and Anna who did such an AMAZING job organizing.
If you have any leftover eWallet funds, those are still available in your Scholastic account! They can be:
- Turned into a gift card to use online
- Saved and moved to an eWallet for next year's book fair
- Donated to the school through Scholastic's Share the Fair program. We're able to use those donated funds to directly help financially disadvantaged students at our school and make sure that everyone is able to take home a book from the fair
And if your child didn't get book they were hoping for (unfortunately, our reorder request didn't arrive, and we quickly ran out of Dog Man and Wings of Fire books), you can still get those and even more titles by shopping online at the Lafayette Scholastic website. There's free shipping on orders over $35, and Lafayette receives 25% back in Scholastic dollars for every purchase made through November 30.
