It's a short newsletter this week as the school year comes to a close. Here are the highlights:
🖼️ Field Day:
We had a wild and impressive Field Day on Thursday. I am so grateful to our community for the hard work to pull off the last minute move from Golden Gate Park to Lafayette. Many many thanks to everyone who went above and beyond on Thursday, most especially our Field Day chair, Will Chinn!
If you managed to capture any great moments from the day, please be sure to upload them to the Field Day Google Folder for this year's yearbook!
👕 Lost & Found:
If you're missing any item from Field Day (or ever), please stop by the Lost & Found collection outside the music room and auditorium. Everything that remains after this school year will be donated or disposed of.
🎓 5th Grade Promotion:
Though the school year has been extended by a week given the loss of instruction during the teacher's strike, 5th Grade Promotion will still take place this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Details on ordering custom leis for graduates can be found at the bottom of this email.
📘 Yearbook:
Be sure to pre-order yearbooks for this school year here (passcode is 1015718683474794).
📚 Help English Learners with their reading!
Our ELAC team is looking for volunteers to read with English Learners next school year. This is a vital program that supports 10% of our student population with their English proficiency. Because volunteers will be expected to comply with SFUSD's volunteer requirements, which requires some administrative paperwork+, we are seeking volunteers now. PTA Board member Memo Alcantara will be sending out an email with more details shortly; but if you are interested, please email him at guillermo.alcantara@gmail.com.
See you on the yard tomorrow morning!
