Dear Lafayette Community,
This is it, the last Dolphin Digest of the school year — and my last ever. I can't express what a privilege and a pleasure it's been to serve as VP of Communications for the last two years, and to be a part of this amazing community of Dolphins. My fifth grader will be swimming over to Presidio Middle next year, so I look forward to seeing some of you there.
If you're also leaving Lafayette, don't forget to add yourself to the Alumni Community! You'll receive occasional updates about Lafayette (no more than a few times per year) and, for local alums, invitations to Lafayette events like the Autumn Carnival and School Musical.
You can expect perhaps a handful of emails from me this month about yearbook etc. Starting in July, your PTA messages will come from Courtney Kustka, who I know will be an excellent VP of Communications

☀️ What a Fantastic Field Day!
|
Thank you to everyone who made Field Day such an incredible celebratory day! I think a lot of core memories were made out there on that sunny Thursday in Golden Gate Park.
PLEASE SHARE PHOTOS HERE!
Let's give a round of applause to our Field Day committee. It was their first year to run this event, and the PTA shed fire threw them a curveball by burning up all of the equipment they planned to use. Despite those challenges, they organized an amazing day for the whole school! Thank you, Will, Mandy, and Nina!
Huge thanks also to the teachers and staff, room parents, volunteers, and families who made it all happen. Field Day showed the joy that our community can create together.

😰 Last Chance for Lost & Found
|
Hoodies, jackets, lunch bags, lunch containers, water bottles... Find it all at the Lost & Found! We really have a ton of stuff.
Please look through for your items by Wednesday, as everything will be donated after that.
Look for the clothing racks on the yard or inside the school near the auditorium.
Fifth-grade families: You can also browse Lost & Found at promotion on Wednesday.
Thank you to our PTA volunteers for organizing the Lost & Found all year long!

🚨 Please Return Library Books ASAP!
|
Dear Lafayette Families,
If your child has still not returned their book(s) to the school library, please help them locate them. Esp. 5th grade families before going to middle school. If your child isn't sure if a book needs to be returned, remind your child to scan their library card to find out if they owe any books! Many students came back to school forgetting their library book(s) at home. Your child can just drop off their library book on the green cart in the library if they need to. Thank you! Happy Soon-to-be Summer! Ms. Jer
