Get help using apps you need as a Lafayette family, like ParentVUE, Seesaw, Google Classroom, and Konstella! All of your tech questions, answered!
Interpreters will be there to support Chinese and Spanish speakers, and for all other languages, staff will be prepared to use the district's phone service for interpretation.
To attend, send an email to Lori Brook (brookl@sfusd.edu).

🚘 Volunteers Needed: Parking Fundraiser October 5th, 6th
|
During the upcoming Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival, Lafayette PTA is holding a parking fundraiser at Lafayette's schoolyard to raise funds. This will be Oct 5, Saturday, and 6, Sunday. And we will need many volunteers!
We will be open to event goers from 10am to 8pm on both days. Volunteers will receive payments, guide cars to each parking spot, and staff the lot. We will need to fill 20 volunteer shifts (2 volunteers for each shift and we will have 5 shifts each day). This is a great opportunity to raise money from and connect with the public! In the past three years, we have held this annual fundraiser and successfully raised thousands of dollars each time. Please join us and make this fundraiser a success again this year!

😱 Help Needed at the Lost & Found!
|
The Lost & Found is getting unruly! Lafayette dad Eliot, who is now super busy spending his days as "Mr. Eliot" teaching Room 218, needs another volunteer or two to keep Lost & Found organized so that items can be reunited with their owners.
Flexible schedule, but this would be great for someone who has a little time after morning drop-off most days to check for names, and who can occasionally spend a little more time straightening things up.
Just reply to this email to get started! Eliot will show you the ropes.
A huge THANK YOU to Eliot for so diligently taking care of Lost & Found. He saw a need and took the initiative to do something about it!

Thanks to our Teacher Appreciation Committee for providing a bagel breakfast for teachers last Friday!
|
Donut Dash chair Kate Scott has been out on the yard every Friday morning helping folks sign up for next weekend's fun run!
|
I hate to bring down the mood, but it's time to play another game of What's Wrong With This Picture? Please remember, and tell anyone who is bringing your child to school... Morning drop-off comes with 2 choices if you're driving: park legally OR use Stop, Drop and Go. Please do not double-park!
|
Finally, thanks always to our fantastic Stop, Drop and Go volunteers for their bright smiles on foggy mornings as they help students get to school safely.

VIDEO - Mayoral Candidates Speak Up on SF Public Education
|
Last week, many Lafayette families attended the event organized by San Francisco Parent Coalition, at which we heard from mayoral candidates London Breed, Mark Farrell, Daniel Lurie, Aaron Peskin, and Ahsha Safai as they shared how they would support San Francisco’s public schools if elected this November.
View the full video recording to learn more about these candidates’ visions for improving public education in the city, and how they plan to collaborate with the school district and community to ensure bright futures for our students. Facilitated by Alexis Madrigal, KQED.
