Hello Lafayette Community - 

We wanted to send out the biggest THANK YOU to all who attended the Gala on March 7th and those who participated in the online auction! Each year the PTA is asked to raise more money to support our students and teachers and I'm consistently blown away at how we come together to do so. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Reminder that Count-Me-In's that we've extended sign-ups for the Count-Me-Ins!(Pro tip: I like to sign my kid's up for events with teachers that are in the grades they're going into - it's a fun way to get to know a teacher who they or their friends will have next year!)


By now I am sure you have heard that Mr. Kassenbaum will be leaving Lafayette at the end of the school year. We thank him for his contributions here and wish him well in his future endeavors!

This leaves many of us asking important questions such as "will we have a principal next year?" 

The answer to that question is YES, the district fully intends to hire a principal for next year. In fact, the hiring process is already in motion with interviews planned for next month. The interview panel will include a group of teachers, staff, parents and students. 

In the meantime, we'd like the community to weigh in on the qualities that they value in a potential leader with this quick survey.
