Hello, Lafayette families!

We hope you and your readers have enjoyed some extra special reading time during the Read-a-thon. We'll announce who read the most minutes and raised the most money soon, but first, two more fun pieces of Read-a-thon business...

Author visit: In case you haven't heard yet, we'll be celebrating our reading success with a school visit by local author Oliver Chin! You can preorder books here and receive them (signed by Oliver) after the visit. Sales benefit Lafayette with 40% coming back to the PTA!

By Friday March 14th: Please turn in Reading Logs to your classroom teacher, even if you fundraised online. We gotta know how many minutes you read! And if you used the paper Pledge Form to fundraise, please turn that in along with any cash or checks (made out to Lafayette PTA).

Remember, participants can earn some fabulous prizes, and simply turning in your Reading Log makes you a participant.

• ALL participants get a special prize: blue Read-a-thon slime!
• Top participating classes also get an additional prize!
• Individuals with the most minutes or most funds raised get the above prizes PLUS a book signed by our visiting author, Oliver Chin! (Top readers and raisers in Grades 3–5 will also have a special group meeting with snacks or lunch with Oliver.)

Lost your forms? Extra copies are in the school library while supplies last. Also available online here and attached to this email.
