Lafayette has a fantastic selection of after school enrichment activities this fall! We offer a huge range of classes including Spanish, Mandarin, sports, yoga, drama, dance, biking, capoeira, art, music, chess and more!
How do I see the selection of classes and register? Register online on Homeroom. You will need to set up an account if it’s your first time registering. The only class that is not on Homeroom is Mandarin. Go directly to the Qiao Ji Mandarin website to sign up.
How do I find out the details about the different programs? Go to Homeroom.com for all the information. Days, times, rates, and descriptions of each program can be found there.
Are there scholarships and discounted rates? Yes! Almost all of the programs offer sliding scales and discounted rates for families that need it. For information on how to apply for the discounted rates, please contact Kristen Coleman, Lafayette's After School Enrichment Coordinator, at kjkrieger@gmail.com.
When do classes start? Most classes start the week of September 1st, with a few starting the following week. They run until December 19th with one week off for Parent Teacher conferences.
Where do the classes take place? Almost all classes take place right after school at Lafayette. Art and biking will take place off campus, and the providers will meet the students at Lafayette.
How does my child get to and from the class? The school will handle everything! After the school day, your child’s homeroom teacher will make sure your child gets to the correct pick up location for the enrichment class.
After the enrichment class is over, that teacher will return your child to their after school program (YMCA or RNC) if applicable, or will let you know where to meet your child for pick up.
