For those who are new to Lafayette, a very warm welcome to our wonderful school community! And to our returning families, welcome back!

My name is Cristina. I have a third grader at Lafayette and a sixth grader who also attended Lafayette. My family and I run a community food pantry out of the courtyard of our home near 38th & Fulton. We rescue food from throughout San Francisco that would otherwise be thrown away and redistribute it to our community for free.

You may also see me every so often passing out free produce and other goodies near 36th & Cabrillo alongside our amazing crossing guard, Amy. 😊

Today, Wednesday, we have some extra produce outside our courtyard that we’d love to share with Lafayette families and our neighbors.

If you’re interested in attending our regular pantry distributions, you’re also welcome to join our private Facebook group below. Our pantry normally serves Richmond District residents, but if your child attends Lafayette, that counts as part of our Richmond community even if you live outside the neighborhood.

When requesting to join, please make sure to answer the membership questions. Requests without the questions completed are automatically declined, but you can always submit another request.
