October 1st – October

5th Annual Week of Respect at LTS

The State of New Jersey dedicates the week of October 1st through October 5th as the Anti-Bullying Week of Respect/Say No to Drugs Campaign. We at Lafayette Township School have broadened our Bullying/Drug Awareness through our Character Education program and Grade 6 L.E.A.D. program. Next week, students and staff are encouraged to show their support of these programs and Character Pillars by wearing the following items on the designated day:

Monday – Blue Shirt/Accessory Day – World Day of Bullying Prevention – Let’s kick off the week in style!

Tuesday – Let your kindness and caring shine through! Tie-Dye or Neon Color Shirt/Accessory Day.

Wednesday – Everyone Count Day and School Spirit Day! Wear a sports jersey or sports shirt with numbers or wear Lafayette Spirit Day items.

Thursday – Red Shirt and Accessory Day (hats may be worn today).

Top Tiger Pictures will be taken with LT, our school mascot, for Pre-K through Grade 3 Character Education. We will also have an anti-bullying assembly sponsored by the Lafayette Township PTO.

Friday – Character Pillar Color Day. Students should wear items of clothing that pertain to their Character Pillar color as per the list below:

Pre K – Grade 2 – wear items from any of the following six pillar colors – red green, yellow, orange, blue or purple.

Grade 3 – Red = Caring

Grade 4 – Orange = Fairness

Grade 5 – Yellow = Respect

Grade 6 – Blue = Trustworthiness
