"Being able to volunteer on my child's first field trip was so insightful. I was able to spend time with his friends and really get to know who he is socializing with," shares Deepa Patel, whose son is a Kindergartener this year at LCE.

Deepa continues, "I met other parents who were similar to me and some who were so different, but we all got along so well. Also nothing will make you appreciate the job a teacher has until you have walked a mile in her shoes, on a farm, with three 5 yr-old boys. I would recommend any parent who is able to volunteer on any level, to get outside of your comfort zone and go for it!"

There are many ways to volunteer at LCE and with the PTA to support our whole LCE community! For more information, email or contact Tricia Macaluso, PTA President at
