LMS would like to see more students riding their bikes to school! We know bikes need a lot of maintenance and that’s why we’ve invited The Safe Routes to Schools BikeMobile to provide free tune ups for students and teachers at our school!

If your child’s bike is making one of those mystery sounds or collecting dust because it has a flat tire, bring it to school on this day.  The BikeMobile can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and possibly replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how it works and how to keep it running smooth.

This is a first come, first serve event. We can only guarantee to fix the first 20 bikes that bring their bikes, so please come early!

Would you like to help staff the event? We welcome parent volunteers who want to help with signups and repairs. To signup as a volunteer and to learn more about our great program log onto www.bike-mobile.org or contact psmith@alamedacountysr2s.org.

This service is offered through the Alameda County Transportation Commission’s Safe Routes To Schools program and is staffed by Local Motion.
