ASAH presented at the most recent LMS PTA meeting. See below for organization details and contact information. The LMS also hosts resources on bullying here.
Alameda Stands Against Hate (ASAH) is a group of parents, teachers, organizers, engineers and community members who have come together around our concerns about the increase in incidents of bias and identity-based bullying in Alameda.
It is our goal to build, curate and maintain a virtual “bookshelf” (a website) of resources for families, teachers and community members where they can access resources for teaching inclusion and embracing diversity as well as immediate support for parents whose child has been involved in a bias incident or identity-based bullying in one of Alameda’s public schools.
ASAH is partnering with AUSD and is close to launching the organization beta site. In the meantime, you can contact organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the current site at http://www.alamedastandsagainsthate.org/
