The Well-Balanced Perspective on College Fit
Fri, Aug 30 11:30am
Hi Lincoln Middle School Families,

We know looking ahead to college can be a stressful and challenging experience.  Alameda High School PTSA is excited to offer this wonderful evening to learn about how to make this whole process less stressful.

Come join us for this very important and informative evening, The Well-Balanced Perspective on College Fit.
Challenge Success, an organization based out of Stanford, will talk to parents about how to help their children approach applying to college in a positive, intentional, student focused way.

Here is a quote from the speaker.

"The college admissions process can be a source of stress and anxiety for students and parents alike.  This research-based workshop addresses many of the important questions we hear from families.  What do college rankings really measure?  Are students who attend more selective colleges better off later in life?  What is "fit" and why does it matter?

Participants will learn practical strategies to help reduce unnecessary pressure around the college admissions process and ways to support their student's overall well-being and readiness for life in college and beyond."

This event is for all families of middle and high school students!  Invite your friends and family to join us!  See the attached flyer.
