HOLIDAY DRIVE IN SUPPORT OF LIFEMOVES

In keeping with Little Wonders’ tradition of community outreach over the holidays, we are again partnering with LifeMoves for our Holiday Drive. LifeMoves is a non-profit organization in San Mateo dedicated to sheltering and assisting homeless families with small children. Please bring to Little Wonders any items outlined below that you wish to donate between December 1 - 14. If you have any questions, please contact Dana Chamorro, Outreach Coordinator, at danajc23@gmail.com or Lauren Obenshain, Liaison Chair, at liaison@littlewonders.org. 

Items in Need: You can use this Amazon List to buy items for the Holiday Drive. Please click on Dana Chamorro’s Gift Registry Address for delivery so that the items are sent directly to our Outreach Coordinator, Dana. Little Wonders is unable to receive deliveries on the weekends, therefore all gifts will be sent to Dana’s house to ensure that deliveries do not get sent back. Dana will organize all the gifts and deliver them to LifeMoves. 

  • Diapers: LifeMoves is in need of diapers and wipes. Diapers can be unopened or opened and in good condition. 
    • Packages of diapers (sizes 5-7, size 4 okay)
    • Pull ups (all sizes)
    • Baby wipes
  • General Items: LifeMoves is in need of items that their families may have lost while experiencing homelessness. Items listed below may be gently used, but they request that toiletries and stuffed animals are new. Unfortunately, they cannot accept baby/toddler furniture.  Please reach out to our Outreach Coordinator, Dana, if you would like to donate a car seat/stroller before donating, as they are needed on a case-by-case basis.  
    • Baby clothing
    • Baby towels
    • Bedding (all sizes)
    • Kitchen items (i.e. dishes, utensils, cups)
    • New baby shampoo
    • Inclement weather items (umbrellas, rain ponchos, gloves etc)
  • Holiday Gifts: If you’d like to purchase a gift for someone at LifeMoves, please check out the Amazon Wish List. Gifts can also be purchased elsewhere and dropped off at Little Wonders by December 14th for delivery to LifeMoves. Recommended value is up to $40 per gift. All gifts should be new and unwrapped. LifeMoves is not able to accept gift cards. 
  • Wrapping Paper & Tape: The parents of children receiving these gifts would love to be able to wrap their child’s present. LifeMoves would appreciate wrapping paper and tape donations to allow families to do this. 

SPRING REGISTRATION IS OPEN - TELL YOUR FRIENDS! 

Please share your excitement and passion for Little Wonders with your friends, families, and social networks. For Spring semester, we are opening a Tuesday Young Ones class (12:00 - 2:00pm) and Wednesday Baby Play (12:30 - 2:00 pm). There is also still space in our Thursday Evening class. We are so excited to welcome teacher Lisa to our Little Wonders teaching family as our Wednesday Baby Play teacher. We appreciate you sharing the benefits of this program with others with young babies and toddlers. You can view the Schedule here. Log into the Family Portal to register today! If you have an older child who has aged out of our Little Wonders classes, check out the Preschool and Elementary Support classes. These classes meet once a month on Tuesday and are virtual.

Have fun and get to know the Little Wonders community at LW Socials! LW Socials are events hosted and paid for by a Little Wonders family. Proceeds from ticket sales go to Little Wonders. If you’d like to host a Social, sign up here. These are fun community-building events that help support Little Wonders.

Need a little more guidance with your child or children? Private consultations are now available with your little's Little Wonders teachers. We have streamlined this offering based on the consultations we have conducted:

  • Enrolled Families: Each consultation is $135 for the first 60 minutes (60 minute minimum), with $35 added for each additional 15 minutes
  • Non-Enrolled Families: Each consultation is $150 for the first 60 minutes (60 minute minimum), with $35 added for each additional 15 minutes
