Girls on the Run® is an experiential learning, non-profit prevention program that uses the power of running to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The 10-week program combines a curriculum focused on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health with training for a 3.1 mile (5K) event. Participants learn how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict, and get along in a group. Girls on the Run of NJ East is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. “We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.” The Littlebrook site will meet on Tues/Fri 3:15-4:30, beginning April 10th. HomeFront is holding its annual 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. HomeFront is a Mercer County homelessness/hunger non profit with the mission of breaking the cycle of poverty. Have you ever wanted to learn to row? The Princeton National Rowing Association is running and Adult Summer Rowing League geared toward brand new rowers as well as people who rowed a million years ago and wanted to get back in a boat. Let's put a Littlebrook team together - parents, teachers, administrators - and have some summer fun! The team will meet once per week in the evening during the summer at Caspersen Rowing Center on Mercer Lake in West Windsor.
