Are you passionate about books, teamwork, and supporting our students? The Llewellyn Elementary OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books) program is looking for a volunteer coordinator to help lead this fun and rewarding program for students in grades 3–5.
The OBOB Coordinator plays a key role in bringing the excitement of reading and friendly competition to our school. This volunteer committee position involves:
- Coordinating the OBOB program within Llewellyn Elementary
- Organizing and running the in-school “battles” (competitions)
- Registering the team that will represent Llewellyn at the Regional Battle
- Communicating with students, parents, and parent coaches
- Helping form and register student teams and providing access to official book lists
- Scheduling and overseeing mock battles and the final school competition
- Recruiting and organizing volunteers (moderators, scorekeepers, timekeepers)
No prior OBOB experience is required—just good organizational skills, communication, and enthusiasm for helping kids develop a love of reading.
