Are you passionate about books, teamwork, and supporting our students? The Llewellyn Elementary OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books) program is looking for a volunteer coordinator to help lead this fun and rewarding program for students in grades 3–5.

The OBOB Coordinator plays a key role in bringing the excitement of reading and friendly competition to our school. This volunteer committee position involves:

  • Coordinating the OBOB program within Llewellyn Elementary
  • Organizing and running the in-school “battles” (competitions)
  • Registering the team that will represent Llewellyn at the Regional Battle
  • Communicating with students, parents, and parent coaches
  • Helping form and register student teams and providing access to official book lists
  • Scheduling and overseeing mock battles and the final school competition
  • Recruiting and organizing volunteers (moderators, scorekeepers, timekeepers)

No prior OBOB experience is required—just good organizational skills, communication, and enthusiasm for helping kids develop a love of reading.
