Room Leads 25-26

Room Lead
A Room Lead is a volunteer who serves as the vital link between the teacher and parents, ensuring classroom communication is clear, timely, and—when possible—pleasant. This role supports the teacher by managing classroom events, coordinating celebrations, and handling the small but essential details that keep school life running smoothly. A hint of friendly competitiveness is a welcome bonus, especially when there’s a prize on the line.

Key Duties

Communication
Serves as the main point of contact between the teacher and parents, sharing updates on classroom activities, school events, and volunteer opportunities.

Classroom Parties
Plans and organizes classroom celebrations, from holiday gatherings to end-of-year events, ensuring they’re memorable for all the right reasons.

Teacher Support
Coordinates teacher gifts, collects donations, and leads teacher appreciation activities with a balance of tact, creativity, and efficiency.

PTA Assistance
Acts as a liaison to the school’s parent-teacher organization, promoting events, encouraging involvement, and occasionally convincing people that another fundraiser really is worth it—especially if it means the class wins that coveted ice cream party.

Room Leads act as a bridge between the teacher, classroom families, and the PTA. They help organize classroom events (like parties or celebrations), coordinate volunteers, and share important reminders. Each teacher may have up to two Room Leads, so parents can share the role if they’d like. Thank you so much for signing up to be part of this committee! Now that you’ve joined, please head to the Room Lead Sign-Up and sign up under your child’s class.
