The 2017 'Stronger Together' Longfellow Superhero Fun Run/Walk Jogathon is officially open!
 
 
Parent volunteers are distributing the collection envelopes and students should be bringing them home today or tomorrow. 
 
Fun Run/Walk Event Date:
Sunday, October 22nd from 9-11am
 
Location: Marston Middle School Field

Collection Period: Monday 9/25 - Sunday 10/22

Our goal is to raise at least $20,000 towards the many events, programs, educational software, field trips, art classes, supplies, technology and much more that our Los Compadres PTO provides to our school. Please consider taking part in this event and assist your child in collecting money towards our special school. 
 
Q: How can I volunteer at the event?
A: Please find the Konstella volunteer sign up sheet for this event! Thank you for your support! This even is 100% volunteer run and we can't do it without the participation of many. 
 
Q: Can my company sponsor the event? What is the benefit?
A: Absolutely! Please email me if your company would like to provide a $200 business sponsorship to our Jogathon. They will get their logo on our website, as well as on the banner that hangs at the entry to our school advertising for them all year long!  vpdevelopment@longfellowcompadres.org
  
Q: Why are we having the Fun Run/Walk event on a Sunday?
A: Due to campus construction, we are unable to use our campus for this event again this year. Everyone had a great time at the weekend event at Clairemont High last year. We would love to hold it there again but the dates we needed were not available. We look forward to holding it this year at nearby Marston Middle School! 
 
Q: Will there be medals for fastest runners?
A: You bet! There will be 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place male/female winners for all grades.
 
Q: Why do participants have to collect $25 to come to the Fun Run/Walk event?
A: All participants who raise at least $25 will receive an official 'Stronger Together' Superhero T-shirt, cape, and water at hydration stations. All monies collected go directly to Los Compadres to offset these costs and into the general fund. 
   
Q: What does my student earn for collecting money? 
$25: Event registration and T-shirt
$75: Longfellow water bottle
$125: Longfellow Super Socks (!)
$250: Admission to a Longfellow Superhero Rockin' Jumphouse Party on Thursday November 9th at 6 pm!!
