Dear 7th Grade Families,Your child will be bringing home some information about the upcoming trip to Catalina Island Marine Institute. As you may know, Longfellow parents have helped to provide unique opportunities for each year in Middle School for our students. Last year was Outdoor Education Week (6th grade camp) and this year will be a trip to Catalina over Spring Break. In the past years this trip has been a favorite among the 7th graders. It is only 3 days (3/28-3/30)Wed-Fri, but packed full of fun like nighttime snorkeling and campfires. You can check out their website www.cimioutdoored.org.Please note this is NOT a school sponsored event. All questions must be directed to the organizing (volunteer) parents below. Also, there are no scholarships available for this and the cost will range between $266-$271 depending on how many students attend. Please fill out the Student Health Form thoroughly with $100 deposit due no later than Thursday, October 12. We can not accept health forms with blank spaces and can not extend this deadline. The remainder balance will be due before Thanksgiving Break! Please take care of the forms sent home, will not be printing any more.If you have any questions or do not receive the forms from your child, please email me or Soula. Both of our older daughters have taken this trip and had an amazing time!!Thank you,Emily HekierSoula Wynne***I am on campus before and after school to collect forms, please look for me by the lunch tables or you can have your child give it to Simone Hekier or JT Wynne.
