Los Compadres 2018-19 Annual Giving Campaign is officially open until September 30th!
Annual Giving is designed to raise funds for startup costs for all PTO sponsored programs and event planning fees that are due at the beginning of the school year. Remember that PTO fundraising makes great Longfellow programs and events possible. Art Corps, field trips, teacher classroom grants, Teacher Appreciation Week, science and technology supplies, Dia de los Muertos Festival, and so much more are all paid for with PTO fundraising!
What we would most LOVE to see in this year's Annual Giving campaign is a jump in the participation rate - that means more families giving, not necessarily more money from each (though we'd love that too). Imagine if every family donated $20 per Longfellow child - that's over $16,000!
How much to give? Donations in recent years ranged from coins from a kinder student to $1,000 donations from individual families. Our school-wide goal for the Annual Giving Campaign is $10,000. If you divide the amount the PTO raises annually by the number of Longfellow students, we spend an average of $110 per child each year. Please consider donating any amount that is comfortable for your family’s budget and remember there is no donation too small.
Please make a donation TODAY in any of the following manners:
- Make a monthly commitment online at www.longfellowcompadres.org/donate for $5, $10, $20, or any amount; the FULL annual total will be counted toward our goal!
- Make a one-time donation online at www.longfellowcompadres.org/donate
- Send cash or check in the envelope provided in your student's BACK TO SCHOOL PACKET
Remember that your donation is 100% tax deductible!
I will be tracking which classes can manage to bring in the highest participation rate in Annual Giving - any dollar amount counts toward participation!
Hoping to build positive opportunities for our students,
Los Compadres de Escuela Longfellow VP of Development
