WHY WE ARE RAISING MONEY

To keep providing the same level of education to our students, we need to raise $180K this year.

That number is so big because we are trying to:

Please know that the PTA is not just holding its hand out to the families in our community. We're also applying to grants, recruiting local businesses to sponsor us, and asking everyone with employer matching to lean into that benefit.

HOW TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL GIFT

We are aiming to raise $450 per student for the year or $40 / month per student.

If you are in a position to donate that amount, please do.

If you are in a position to cover another student at the school, please do.

If this amount is out of reach, please donate an amount that feels sustainable. Maplewood families are pitching in anywhere from $5 to $200 per month.

Every donation, of any amount, is eligible to be part of that $40K matching grant, so any amount you give is automatically doubled. If your employer matches donations, that means your gift is tripled.

(This is 100% my favorite kind of math).

CÓMO MAXIMIZAR LO QUE YA DONÓ

POR QUÉ ESTAMOS RECAUDANDO FONDOS

Para seguir ofreciendo el mismo nivel educativo a nuestros estudiantes, necesitamos recaudar $180,000 dólares este año.

Esa cifra es tan alta porque estamos tratando de:

• Complementar el financiamiento insuficiente del distrito y del estado (ni siquiera han ajustado nuestro presupuesto para reflejar la inflación, imagínense...).
• Pagar al personal de apoyo académico, desarrollo profesional para maestros, actividades de apreciación docente, eventos comunitarios como Maplewood 75 y Fall Fest, Educación al Aire Libre, y mucho más.

Por favor, sepa que la PTA no solo les está pidiendo a las familias de nuestra comunidad. También estamos solicitando becas/subvenciones, buscando negocios locales que nos patrocinen, y pidiéndole a todos los que tengan igualación de donaciones por parte de su empleador que aprovechen ese beneficio.

CÓMO HACER UNA DONACIÓN SIGNIFICATIVA

Nuestra meta es recaudar $450 dólares por estudiante al año, o $40 dólares al mes por estudiante.

Si está en condiciones de donar esa cantidad, por favor hágalo.

Si está en condiciones de cubrir a otro estudiante de la escuela, por favor hágalo.

Si esta cantidad está fuera de su alcance, por favor done la cantidad que le resulte sostenible. Las familias de Maplewood están contribuyendo con montos que van desde $5 hasta $200 dólares al mes.

Cada donación, sin importar el monto, es elegible para ser parte de esos $40,000 dólares en fondos igualados, así que cualquier cantidad que done se duplica automáticamente. Si su empleador iguala donaciones, eso significa que su contribución se triplica.
