Hey everyone!

As you all know, Ms. Noe is leaving Maplewood next year. We appreciate all she's done for Maplewood! With this change, the Maplewood PTA is advocating for Ms. Conley to be named Interim Principal.

Importantly, this support is shared by Maplewood’s teachers and the teachers’ union, who have voiced confidence in Ms. Conley’s leadership and her ability to guide the campus during this interim period. Teacher retention, morale, and instructional alignment are closely tied to consistent leadership, and this appointment would help protect all three.

Why we are advocating for her:

• Ms. Conley already knows our students, staff, systems, and campus needs and our culture.

• Her leadership would maintain stability at Maplewood during a period of transition. Consistent campus leadership is strongly associated with improved academic outcomes and teacher retention.

• Appointing her is the least disruptive and fastest path for AISD — requiring less onboarding, fewer resources, and minimal transition time.
  
  

  We also want to be clear that we welcome questions, feedback, or concerns from the community. If there is sufficient interest, the PTA is happy to organize a special meeting to provide additional context, answer questions, and hear from families directly.
