We hope you will join us on Thursday, January 19, from 5:30-7:00 pm for a Parent Education Workshop presented by Hilde Gross, Family Coach and Therapist.

The topic is “Increasing Your Child’s Self-Esteem while Learning the Difference Between Praise and Encouragement.” True encouragement helps children to believe in themselves, look for happiness and motivation from within, and develop the child’s sense of self-worth.  Praise can have the power to teach children to look for external approval and gratification, which keeps them dependent on authority figures to feel good about themselves.  Parents have an important role to play in increasing their child’s competence, confidence, and self-esteem. 

The meeting will be held in Room 7 and parking will be available on the playground (entrance is on Hatteras Street). This event is for adults only, so please make other childcare arrangements.
