Good Morning, MMS families. I am the computer teacher for levels 1-8. Each year, I share an updated list of parental controls with links to help families with online safety at home.
As children begin using devices and exploring the internet, parental controls can be a helpful tool at home. They can help families manage what children can access, set age-appropriate limits, and create safer digital experiences. This attachment provides information about parental controls and safety features that families may want to explore with preschool through teenage aged children.
At MMS, students taking computer class use a highly filtered Wi-Fi which also blocks social media, video games, YouTube (unless teacher supervised), and AI chatbot websites. AI overviews have been turned off for Google searches on school laptops.
The attached file is relevant for children of all ages, including preschool.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via Konstella.
Thank you,
Ms. Danzig
