Planting Spring Flowers
Maria Montessori School

If you love digging in the dirt,

and would like to gather some volunteer hours,

you will want to sign up for this opportunity!

We’re getting up jump-start on spring by refreshing our planter beds

with fresh, new flowers and plants.

If you bring two 6-packs of flowers, or low growing green plants,

choose an open spot in our flower beds, and beautify that area,

you can earn 2 hours of volunteer credit.

(If you have already met your volunteer hour obligation for the year,

please allow other families these openings.)

Volunteers are welcome to do their gardening most anytime during school hours,

and your children are welcome to join you!

For your plantings, feel free to pick any hardy plants or flowers you love. Let the office know when you’d like to do the work, so we don’t schedule too many gardeners at once. Please bring whatever gardening tools you might want. Water is available from the hose just inside the front gate. Please be cautious when digging to avoid the existing sprinkler system and pipes underground. If you enjoy gardening with your children, they may certainly join you for this volunteer opportunity.
