Every time a child uses a smartphone, tablet, computer, or even logs into a game, the door is open to a virtual world populated by hackers, cyberbullies, and even predators. The San Diego Police Foundation’s education program, SafetyNet: Smart Cyber Choices, is a program that informs and empowers parents and children to identify and avoid these threats.
MMS will host this parent education workshop on Tuesday, March 14, from 5:30-6:30pm, for adults only. You may sign up to attend and learn what you can do to keep your children safe. This parent presentation will be followed on Wednesday morning with student assemblies for our Level 3-5 and Level 6-8 students. The age-appropriate presentations cover important information about online gaming, privacy, social media, cyberbullying, and hackers/scammers.
