Dear Parents,

You may be aware through media reports of an active shooter incident at the Islamic Center of San Diego, located off Balboa Avenue near the 805 freeway.

Our understanding from the San Diego Police Department is that the situation remains active but contained. Authorities have informed us that the two suspects are deceased, and they are not seeking any additional shooters at this time.

This incident poses no threat to our campus. Therefore, we are continuing normal school operations and following our standard security protocols.

As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate any important updates if necessary.
