Good Afternoon Marshall Lane Families,
Pumpkin Fest is next weekend - October 27th - and our school office has been fielding A LOT of questions about MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL students volunteering at the event.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING if you have eager middle/high school volunteers:
- The request for youth volunteers was included in Pumpkin Fest announcements via Konstella Shout Out and Thursday envelope flyers.
- We extended the invitation to volunteer to: Marshall Lane families with students in middle/high school, we reached out to two clubs at Rolling Hills, and we also accepted some youth volunteers that reached out directly to the PTA.
- The deadline to sign up was 10/5.
- It has been brought to our attention that middle schoolers may have received a flyer inviting them to sign up to volunteer at various elementary school fall festivals. HOWEVER, we have filled our staffing for youth volunteers.
The Marshall Lane PTA is very grateful for our youth volunteers! Without them we would struggle to fully staff the event. Our event chairs also recognize the importance of having some of the volunteer roles, at the event, filled by adults vs. youth volunteers.
We hope parents will understand the staffing, scheduling and advanced planning that goes into volunteer coordination in order to make the event run as smoothly as possible.
Parents, we hope you will consider signing up on Konstella for one of the open volunteer shifts for Pumpkin Fest.
Thank you for supporting this event, and have a great weekend!
