Meadowbrook Farms Families,

We cannot believe the 2021-2022 school year is coming to a close!! Considering we did not know how this year would look and what activities/events we would be able to have…we think we can all agree we were able to have one very amazing year!!

The PTG would first like to give a huge shoutout and thank you to our wonderful Meadowbrook staff. They persevered through all of the challenges and changes that Covid presented, while continuing to teach, support, and care for our students.

We would also like to thank all of the Meadowbrook Farms family members for your dedication to our school. Whether you helped volunteer for events, dedicated time in the classrooms (or outside of the classrooms) or made financial donations, your support to the PTG and the rest of the Meadowbrook community was greatly appreciated!

Some of the incredible events we were able to have this year included…

  • Trunk or Treat, where families could trick or treat around the parking lot while looking at awesomely decorated cars
  • The Fun Run, where we raised over $34,000!!
  • Welcomed our new Principal, Mr. Giusti, with the best welcoming gift…getting slimed!!
  • An enchanted Holiday Shop where students could buy items for special people and loved ones.
  • Numerous community service initiatives: fill the monster (where we collected Halloween candy to send to troops overseas), Fill the Cruiser (we filled police cars with toys for the Toys for Tots program), donated socks to Crossroads and books to Books Are Wings (local organization that provides children access to free books to promote literacy).
  • Reading Week where the halls of Meadowbrook were magically transformed into an Under the Sea wonderland. We also brought in children’s book author, Dana Gambardella who shared her book, Mama Bear’s Magic with students.
  • Glow Ball dance for all Meadowbrook families where we danced the night away and had a glowingly-awesome time!
  • Had Art Night, where the halls of Meadowbrook were decorated with stunning artwork made by our students.
  • Hosted a fun-filled Field Day of outdoor fun, smiles and topped it off with a Del’s.
  • Supported MFS staff with teacher and principal grants
  • Purchased playground and wellness equipment for all preK-2nd grade classrooms including jump ropes, balls, chalk, pails and shovels and much more!
  • Thanked MFS staff with numerous Staff Appreciation events throughout the year, as well as an entire week of Staff Appreciation activities in May that included Supa Dupa food truck and Drip Coffee Bar, and more.
  • Bought apparel for all staff so everyone can rock a Meadowbrook tie-dyed shirt.
  • Had both a Fall and Spring Book Fair that raised $2000 towards new books for the MFS library.
  • Hosted an incredible 2nd grade moving up ceremony!
  • Published a fabulous Yearbook to remember this school year (will be shipped to student homes in mid-July)!
  • And more!!

We wish our 2nd graders the best of luck as they move on to Hanaford! We will miss you all but know that you will do great things! To our pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st graders we look forward to seeing you all back in the fall!

To the rest of the Meadowbrook community, we thank you for your continued support and efforts to make Meadowbrook Farms such a wonderful school. It truly takes a village!!

Have a great summer!!

Sincerely,

Emily Manning and Lauren Sousa
