International Walk to School Day is THIS Wednesday, October 10! Nearly 4 million people in over 40 countries worldwide participate in International Walk to School Day. Millions of kids all over the world walk, bike and scooter to school because it’s fun, it’s good for you, and it’s good for the environment!

Students who walk, bike or scooter to school will receive a small reward. Park in the neighborhood and walk to school or walk from home. Volunteers will be out on the blacktop near Room 23 passing out the rewards. Look for the balloons on the blacktop.

If you would like to join a Walking School Bus, a group that meets to walk to school together, please meet at the Calabazas Park parking lot on Blaney Ave. at 8:10am. The Walking School Bus leaves at 8:15 sharp! Please fill out the attached Walking School Bus Permission Slip to join.

Students who carpool with another family are also eligible to receive a reward.

Parents, if you would like to volunteer to help pass out rewards on Wednesday, please sign up below.
