Dear Meyerholz Parents and Families,
Please join me for a conversation with Superintendent Baker and Executive Cabinet members on Tuesday, October 15th from 7:00 - 8:00 in the Meyerholz GLC. At the Meyerholz Community Meeting, Dr. Baker plans to:
Provide additional information about continued projected declining enrollment;
Share historical perspectives and results from a variety of Enrollment Committee meetings that have been held over the past five years;
Highlight the successes and challenges the District has faced in implementing various strategies to balance our enrollment; and, perhaps most importantly,
Solicit YOUR input and feedback to share with School Board Members on October 24, 2019, as they deliberate on how best to solve our continuing enrollment and budgeting challenges.
Similar meetings will be held at multiple schools across the District starting with Muir, Meyerholz, and Regnart.
On the same day of our community meeting, District staff will also meet with Muir Elementary School staff to share the same information and collect their input.
This will be the first of multiple CUSD community conversations we intend to have on this topic over the course of this school year. I hope you will join us to hear this important information and engage with the District in conversations around the topic and potential solutions.
Ms. Ann Mitchell
Principal, Meyerholz Elementary School
