Dear Meyerholz Community,
Meyerholz Move-a-thon (formerly Walkathon) is the ultimate event that caps off our Meyerholz Elementary PTA's annual fundraising campaign which starts today! The Move-a-thon will take place on Friday, October 20th from 1:30pm-5:30pm. During the school day, students will participate in a teacher led exercise routine to get your kids moving. After school dismissal, we encourage students, parents, guardians, relatives, friends and neighbors to come on campus to socialize, play games, hunt for bargains at the Rummage Sale, and buy some yummy snacks and treats at the Bake Sale.
The Meyerholz Elementary PTA sponsors and coordinates the event to bring awareness to the fundraising needs required to support numerous programs at Meyerholz School. The money that we raise funds 100% of the art and music instruction your child receives, as well as after school sports, the Spring musical, library hours, classroom technology, teacher endowments, science fair, assemblies, parent education and more. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $125,000 and we are asking for a donation of $300 per student.
Move-a-thon paper packets will go out in Thursday folders but we strongly encourage completing all documents and donations online. We also need many volunteers to help with this event so please consider signing up for a short time slot.
