Meyerholz Elementary

The Meyerholz Elementary community is strong because of parents like you who get involved with their child's education. You can make a difference in the success of your child's experience at Meyerholz by contributing your time, talents and skills. There are many opportunities that can fit in to any parent's schedule. All volunteers must get a TB test and attend a volunteer orientation session. Some positions require fingerprinting.

Annual Fundraiser Signed Up: 1 / 0

Assist committee chairs with planning our major fundraiser and community event of the year. Various committees to choose from: Bake Sale, Games, Food, etc. Hours flexible and can vary, August-October.

Book Fair Signed Up: 2 / 0

Volunteer areas include set up, cashier, stocking books, supervising the floor, clean up/tear down, etc. The Book Fair is usually held for 3-4 afternoons in October and April.

Bulldog “Flex Force” Signed Up: 2 / 0

Willing to be contacted to help out on occasion, as needed. Volunteer areas may include clerical, copying, assisting with picture day, etc. Volunteer only if available. Hours vary throughout the year.

Bullying Awareness Week Signed Up: 1 / 0

Assist committee chair in planning and implementing this school-wide awareness week. Hours vary, Jan.-Feb.

Hospitality Signed Up: 1 / 0

Works with Hospitality Chair to plan Coffee, Cocoa & CommuniTea events and the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Hours vary, quarterly events.

Ice Cream Social Signed Up: 3 / 0

Thursday, Aug. 18, 5:30-8:00pm. 30 minutes shifts. Set up, take tickets, pass out ice cream or food, or clean up at the community event at the beginning of the school year. Thursday, Aug. 18, 5:30-8:00pm. 30 minutes shifts.

Lost and Found Signed Up: 0 / 0

Gather, wash and donate lost and found items periodically. Send notifications 2 weeks in advance of clearing out lost and found items. Quarterly, 3-5 hours.

Marquee Signed Up: 2 / 0

Change the marquee sign in front of the school at the beginning of each month. Monthly, 20-30 minutes.

Reflections Art Contest Signed Up: 0 / 0

Assist committee chair in planning, publicizing and implementing this PTA sponsored contest. Hours vary, Aug.-Oct.

Room Parent Signed Up: 5 / 0

Works closely with teacher to provide communication to parents and plan class parties. Hours vary, Aug.-Jun.

Safety Patrol Signed Up: 7 / 0

Set up traffic cones and supervise student safety patrol valets during morning drop off. Fingerprinting required. 8:05-8:35am, any day, once per week.

Science Fair Signed Up: 3 / 0

Assist committee chair with set up, publicity, and coordination of the Science Fair. Hours vary, February-March

Staff Appreciation Signed Up: 0 / 0

Help committee chair plan, set up and clean up a monthly brunch of donated treats for the teachers and staff. One morning per month.

Walk n’ Roll Signed Up: 3 / 0

Pass out incentives to students who walk or roll (bike, scooter or carpool with another family) to school. 8:05-8:35am, 1st Wednesday of the month.

Walking School Bus Leader Signed Up: 1 / 0

Walk to school with a group of children from your neighborhood. Encourage healthy habits and pedestrian safety. Fingerprinting required. 8:00-8:30am, any day.
