What is a Walking School Bus? A walking school bus is a group of children walking to school with one or more adults. It is a great way for children and families to walk safely to school in a large group and to make new friends.

A NEW Walking School Bus is forming for 2019-2020!

The walking school bus is parent led, and therefore each participating child must have one parent volunteer to lead the walking bus at least once a week.

If you want to be part of the Meyerholz walking bus, please download and complete the attached form and submit it to Ann Nagamatsu in the school office.

Parents can bring the Permission form to the WSB meeting spot on Oct. 2nd. There will also be forms at the Walking School Bus meeting spot.  The Walking School Bus leaves at 8:15 a.m. sharp.

  • Only registered children may participate in the Walking School Bus
  • Each Walking School Bus will be led by adult volunteers
  • Each parent must volunteer to lead the walking school bus at least once per week
  • Children must be at their designated Walk Stop and ready to walk to school at the scheduled time
  • Children must obey all instructions given by the Walking School Bus Volunteer. In particular, children must walk, not run, stay on the sidewalks, and behave sensibly.
  • Under adverse weather conditions, the Walking School Bus will be cancelled
  • Please make sure you read all the instructions in the attached permission slip
