I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and sane! It's definitely a struggle for me to help with homework struggles (and focus!) and also get my work done, but so far we're managing with a daily bike ride and occasional basketball game with the kids.
CAPTA has released new guidelines which will allow elections to take place over a web conferencing tool of your choice. Please see attached document which they have provided as the guidance. They will be sending this document or a final version of it to all units in the coming weeks as well. Please note that you do not need to do elections via this method, and if you believe your election may be contested, you should not do elections via this method. This new guideline is only applicable through June 30 (so only elections during this school year). CAPTA understands that in these times, if it is not possible to do a web conference election, then it may not be possible to complete elections until the fall. Deadlines for providing new officer information will be extended past the current deadline - the date is still TBD.
As such, we will meet as a council on April 9th, 7:00pm to do our council elections. The meeting will take place via Zoom, one such teleconferencing option. We currently have the following slate of individuals for the open positions, but you may still nominate yourself or another person from the floor.

Derek's position as VP still has one more year on his elected term, so the VP position will not be voted on at this time.
